4th of July Weekend

We just finished up a fun-filled 4th of July weekend! Sunday we spent the afternoon at the Farmers. We had a yummy BBQ, and in between fights and time-outs, the kids had lots of fun playing together. After dinner Uncle Jason filled up the pool. The kids had soo much fun; including Jake, who crawled back and forth over and over again. He loved playing with the big kids and didn't even mind getting splashed.

Here Gracie and Eric are waiting patiently for the pool to be ready.

Taking a picture of these 4 with Oma was not an easy task.

This kid is pure Joy!

They're both watching something intently :)

Remnants of some dirt clods he was snacking on :-/
Today we spent the afternoon at my Gramma's house. We got to swim in the pool, which was heaven on a hot day like today! The kids had a blast and so did the moms and dads :)

Here are the three moms and three babies. Below is the picture of us from last year, when those three were in our bellies for our 4th of July swim :)

Evie and Sophie shaking hands

They were pretending to watch TV. They were telling eachother what shows were on and what was happening on the show.

Cute boys

Kid Pile.
There were a lot of those today. The results were lots of sweaty kids and dirty faces. Oh, and one bloody nose :(

Evie is not so sure about this Baby Trap. Or the little boy next to her.

Jake reassures her by pulling her hair a little.

Babies and snackies.

What a fun weekend! The boys had so much fun that Eric was asleep before we left Gramma's driveway, and Jake was asleep before we were off the ranch. This year we are skipping fireworks and enjoying a little peace and quiet as our boys snooze away. We have so much to be thankful for, including this country and the freedoms we have here.
