At one point Jake wanted down to check out this whole trick or treating thing.

He went most of the way then got a little nervous.

So Big Brother got the candy for him.

Dad's Birthday Weekend

For Dad's birthday we had planned to take the train from Oceanside to Seaport Village. When we got there however, we discovered that no trains were running that day. So instead we drove down to Balboa Park and had a wonderful day walking around and visiting different museums. The weather was great and we all had a really fun time.

Big Bear Zoo

This weekend we went up to Big Bear (or Big Bears, as Eric calls it) with our friends, Luke and Jenny and stayed in their parents' cabin overnight. We hadn't been up there since Eric was 2 months old, so it was really fun to go. The trees were changing color, which we don't get to see a lot of. We had a fun, though quick, trip. Ate out, walked around, and visited the zoo. The zoo is the only thing I took pictures of, so that's what's going on the blog :)

This zoo was fun because it had lots of animals that are native to the area, but that we never get to see close up. They had things like wolves, coyotes, raccoons, owls, foxes, snakes, bears and more!

It was Jake's nap time, so he mostly slept.

Jacob's 1st Birthday Party

I still haven't put up the photos from Jake's party a couple weeks ago, so here they are.

Jake and Eden shared their birthday party, since their birthdays are only a day apart. Jake's theme was monkeys and Edens was rainbow/butterflies/rock and roll (?). We decorated half and half with the two themes.

This was waiting for the party to start. Jake got into the dog's water bowl, so we had to stick his clothes in the dryer.
